They will purchase and consume products and services created and manufactured by businesses that have successfully anticipated their needs and wants. Against a context of evolving and converging technology, one of the most significant challenges for both the business and research communities is to invent and innovate technology to support these young customers. The Customers of the Future program was developed to help respond to this challenge. It sought to understand young peoples appropriation and ongoing use of mobile information and communication technologies (ICTs). The research further attempted to model, investigate and envision requirements for new technology.
