In 1956, after working several years at Peerless, my grandfather decided to start a heating and air conditioning business of his own. He started with $500 and named his company B & J Heating & Air Conditioning. The name is derived from my grandparents names Bob and Jean. My dad and uncle worked with their dad growing up, and because of their father’s success, they decided to start their own business as well. They called it Schaedel Brothers Heating & Cooling. I started helping my dad in the summers when I was 12 years old. I wanted to start my own business and in honor of the two who started it all. So starts my company, B & J Heating and Air Conditioning. Our goal at B & J is to provide the best customer service possible. Our motto is, “Old school customer service”.
